  1. People stay when they can see and hear you clearly. You can set that up tonight.
  2. Put a light behind your phone, facing you, a little above eye level. A window works too.
  3. A bright window behind you turns your face into a dark shadow. Turn around and face it.
  4. Place the phone on a stand at eye level, not in your hand. Frame your head and shoulders.
  5. Keep the background simple. Add one thing that says who you are, and hide anything private.
  6. Choose your quietest room. Soft things like curtains, a rug or a bed reduce echo.
  7. Keep the phone close, or clip a low-cost mic to your shirt, a hand's width below your chin.
  8. A weak signal freezes your LIVE. Sit near the Wi-Fi router, or use strong mobile data.
  9. Last checks: plug in the charger, turn on Do Not Disturb, play a video to test the signal.
  10. Your setup is ready. Three quick questions to finish the lesson.
